About Sarah

Hello and welcome to my website!  I do hope you'll enjoy taking a look around and feel inspired to sew! I've been making quilts for over 12 years and sewing all my life. I've turned my hobby into a profession and I'm so blessed to live such a creative life.  From the very baby first quilt I made for my daughter all those years ago, to now writing my first book, Jump into Patchwork and Quilting for C and T publishing, it really is a dream come true.

Collaborating with Italian thread company Aurifil has also been a career highlight; I currently have 2 collections available, including the accompanying thread box to my book, Jump into Quilting.

I love to design quilt patterns, including the Up and Away Baby Quilt and the Sweet Heart of Mine Baby Quilt which are available in my online shop. I have many more quilt designs up my sleeve and can't wait to share them with you soon.  I also love quick projects and I hope you'll enjoy the One Hour Gift Bag and the Notebook Clutch and Pen Case patterns, which are both pretty and practical! I'm also sharing my love of Japanese Sashiko and have put together a beautiful Modern Sashiko Kit, with everything you need to create 4 beautiful coasters.

When I'm not quilting, I make glitter project pouches to help you keep your WIPs (works in progress) organised – I do love a storage solution, and if it has glitter on it, even better!

My other passion is writing, and for 2021 I'm proud to be the columnist for Today's Quilter Magazine, with my Creating Connections Series.

I've collaborated with many companies and organisations over the years including:

- Love Patchwork and Quilting Magazine

- The Modern Quilt Guild

- The Quilter's Planner

- The Quilter's Guild of the British Isles

- Oakshott Fabrics

I'm also the founder of the Great British Quilter, and you can find out more about how I champion all things British and Quilting over on the GBQ website.
